Refunds due over 'illegal' yellow line tickets

WIGAN Council have admitted issuing parking tickets on illegal double yellow lines.
Now they are offering to refund motorists who have paid penalty charges - on appeal.
The move comes as a result of investigations by retired slater-tiler Barry Moss who claimed that although he had told the council that the double yellow lines in a parking bay outside 84, Hamilton Street, Atherton, were unenforceable tickets had still been issued....more
